Wynn Launches "Wynn – Garden of Earthly Delights" Art Exhibition
Showcasing the world's art treasures and rich cultural diversity
 
Macau, May 9, 2019 – Wynn is always committed to fostering cultural development in Macau. In support of the mega international arts and cultural event "Art Macao" organized by the Macau SAR Government, Wynn will be launching a four-month art exhibition under the theme of "Wynn – Garden of Earthly Delights" on June 6, 2019, featuring an extraordinary selection of modern and contemporary art pieces. The exhibition will take place at both Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, showcasing some of the world's most remarkable masterpieces and offering both Macau residents and tourists an artistic journey through contemporary art.     
 
The opening ceremony for "Wynn – Garden of Earthly Delights", integrated in the series of activities of "Art Macao: International Art Exhibition" of the event "Art Macao", will take place at the Art Gallery of Wynn Palace on June 6. The art exhibition is inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's stunning masterpiece The Garden of Earthly Delights, which he painted during the time of the Renaissance. The exhibition will feature an extraordinary selection of modern and contemporary art pieces for their first appearance in Macau, including Edoardo Tresoldi, Herb Alpert, Jennifer Steinkamp, Refik Anadol, Robert Indiana, Sam Francis, MAD Architects and many more, as the Company aims to take audiences into a world of innovation and creativity through various media forms such as paintings, installations and digital art pieces. In order to strengthen the promotion of arts education in the community, Wynn recently hosted a seminar on the Art of Curation, as part of its Art Promotion Event Series for teachers, students, youth and art enthusiasts across art, design, exhibitions and other related fields. Mr. Emerson Wang and Mr. Chip Tom, two experienced international art curators were invited as guest speakers at the seminar, where they shared their respective views on art with teachers and students to further enhance their knowledge and understanding of art and exhibitions. By participating in and hosting various cultural and artistic events, Wynn aims to create a platform fostering international cultural exchange in Macau, as well as nurturing the public's art knowledge and continuing its contribution to supporting Macau's positioning as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
 
Under the patronage of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, "Art Macao" is organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Macao Government Tourism Office, and co-organized by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Higher Education Bureau, featuring highlights such as the "Art Macao: International Art Exhibition" organized in collaboration with several hotels and integrated resorts, and foreign consulates, highlights of the concert season by the Macao Orchestra and the Macao Chinese Orchestra, signature programmes of the Macao Cultural Centre, the International Youth Dance Festival, the International Youth Music Festival, the International Youth Drama Festival, etc. All are united by the aim of building the city into a world-class culture and arts exchange platform, while also creating an unforgettable artistic summer for both residents and tourists.
