Wynn Makes MOP 600,000 Donation to Support “Walk for a Million”

Macau, November 24, 2020 – Wynn has continually participated in various local charity events and contributed to charitable causes. This year, the company continues its support of the annual charity event “Walk for a Million” by making a donation of MOP 600,000 to the Charity Fund From the Readers of Macao Daily News. Every year, Wynn organizes over a thousand team members and their families to participate in the annual charity walk. Although this year’s event format has been adjusted amid the pandemic, Wynn believes that the original aspiration and enthusiasm remain unchanged, and hopes that the event will once again be a great success.
 
The cheque presentation ceremony was held today at the Macao Daily News building. Ms. Linda Chen, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, Mr. Ian Michael Coughlan, President and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, Ms. Katharine Liu, Senior Vice President of Communications of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, and Ms. Jasmine Cheong, Executive Director of Community and Government Relations of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace presented the cheque to a delegation from the Charity Fund including President Ms. Ho Teng Iat, Vice Presidents Mr. António José de Freitas, Mr. Wong Pan Seng, President of the Directive Council Mr. Vong Kok Seng, Executive Vice President of the Directive Council Mr. Ho Weng Cheong, Vice Presidents of the Directive Council Mr. Hoi Kin Chong, Mr. Choi Ka Weng, Mr. Garrick Wong, Directors Mr. Chu Kin Hang, Mr. Ho Hon Cheong, Mr. Pedro Lei and Mr. Carlos Cheang.
 
According to Ms. Linda Chen and Mr. Ian Michael Coughlan, Wynn has been supporting various charitable activities to assist the disadvantaged groups. They added that the company has in the past always encouraged team members from Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, alongside their family members, to participate in the annual “Walk for a Million” charity event each year. Despite the different arrangement of the event this year, Wynn will continue to support and contribute to charity by making donations and joining the event online.
 
Amid the challenges of the pandemic this year, Wynn has actively supported all sectors of society as well as vulnerable social groups affected by the pandemic through various methods, including donations of funds and anti-epidemic materials, while also supporting the SAR government’s anti-epidemic prevention and control efforts. Together, Wynn hopes that these initiatives will contribute to the overall recovery of Macau.
