Wynn Welcomes the Year of the Ox with Auspicious Lion Dance Performances
Macau, February 19, 2021 – Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace officially welcomed the arrival of the year of the Golden Ox with the awakening of the lion performances. Hotel guests gathered together to watch the colorful Chinese New Year festivities and to celebrate auspicious new beginnings.
On February 18 and 19, the seventh and eighth days of Chinese New Year, Ms. Linda Chen, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Ltd. and Mr. Ian Michael Coughlan, President and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Ltd. led the Wynn management team to officiate the lion eye-dotting ceremony to celebrate the start of a prosperous new year ahead. More than 100 energetic lion dance performers danced to the beat of gongs and drums, while weaving their way through Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. The lions performed stunts to collect lettuce (a symbol of wealth) at major locations throughout the hotels, sharing blessings of good fortune and luck with guests.
