Acclaimed Chefs Collaborate in Star-Studded Feasts at Wynn in Macau
Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace are the official venue partners for Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Awards; Local celebrity chefs gather for the Wynn Guest Chef Pop-up series and Chef Feast
 
Macau, March 22nd, 2018 – Macau, known as the City of Gastronomy in Asia, is set to host Asia's 50 Best Restaurant Awards, with Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Cotai being selected as the awards' official venue partners for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019. Commended for its achievements in the field of culinary arts, Macau is now included in UNESCO's Creative Cities Network, further cementing the city's status as a diversified and sustainable international tourist destination. Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Awards serves as a platform for industry professionals to exchange insights and to advocate the development of the food and beverage sector in Macau.
 
To further promote networking and collaboration between local catering industry professionals and international culinary experts, Wynn will host a series of Guest Chef Pop-Up events and Chef Feast to strengthen the development of local culture and tourism.
 
Under the theme of Macau's Portuguese cuisine history, Wynn's catering team will host Chef Feast on March 26th at the historic Clube Militar de Macau, where numerous renowned chefs in Macau will collaborate to showcase the city's deep-rooted cultural heritage and dynamic restaurant scene.
 
The series of Guest Chef Pop-Up lunches and dinners will also be hosted by Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace in their restaurants from March 25th to 28th. Indian chef Gaggan Anand's restaurant Gaggan, which ranked at the top of the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list for three consecutive years, will team up with two famous Japanese chefs, Zaiyu Hasegawa and Takeshi Fukuyama, whose restaurants Den and La Maison De La Nature Goh ranked 11th and 31st in 2017, to cook a creative feast. Several
famous chefs who were honored as Best Female Chefs in Asia including Lanshu Chen, Vicky Lau, and Margarita Forés will also collaborate to make fine delicacies, while Virgilio Martínez's restaurant Central, which ranked 5th in the World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards in 2017, is set to create a unique culinary experience. The star-studded events will feature culinary world masters in Macau, who will use their boundless imagination in blending cooking styles with modern technologies from different countries, showcasing the best-in-class cuisines and latest Asian trends for guests from home and abroad.
