Macao, March 30, 2025 – The grand opening of the highly anticipated and popular gastronomic landmark in Asia, Gourmet Pavilion at Wynn Palace, will be held on April 29, 2025, offering unparalleled dining experiences for food lovers from around the world. In support of the inauguration of the new project, Wynn started collaboration with the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) of the Macao SAR Government last December to organize multiple catering job-matching sessions targeting local residents in order to provide them with diverse job opportunities. This collaboration aims to attract local talent to the Wynn team that provides guests with extraordinary dining experiences at a world-class resort.

The catering job-matching sessions hosted by Wynn offered positions such as chefs, steward supervisors, stewards, sommeliers, and service attendants. In addition to providing information about the Gourmet Pavilion and Wynn’s Food & Beverage department, these events also featured ingeniously designed display booths for interaction and exchange with jobseekers. The company will also arrange for newcomers to the Gourmet Pavilion to receive intensive training lasting 4-6 weeks and join creative activities to strengthen team cohesion and facilitate their integration into a new work environment.

Furthermore, Wynn is always dedicated to providing local team members with career development opportunities and more than 10 local team members have been promoted to key positions at the Gourmet Pavilion to date. Fong Weng In, manager of the Gourmet Pavilion, said “I have been provided with various training opportunities since I joined Wynn’s management trainee program, which have maximized my benefit and growth in personal development, professional skills, and career development. I’m thankful to the company for offering me the opportunity to serve as a manager, allowing me to lead the Gourmet Pavilion team to continue providing guests with five-star extraordinary dining experiences.”

Co-hosting local talent development programs with DSAL

Upholding the principle of prioritizing the employment of Macao residents, Wynn has hired nearly 300 local employees and offered promotions to over 150 local team members over the past six months, which demonstrates the company’s unremitting efforts to drive local talent cultivation and development. Last year, Wynn rolled out local talent development programs with DSAL to provide Macao residents with a series of professional training and workplace practice in the form of “training after employment,” and extend promotional opportunities to them upon completion of the programs. Wynn has successfully engaged nearly 100 local team members through the project since its launch last year and will continue its efforts this year with nine new programs that are being launched between April and September, providing locals with job openings in Hotel Operations, Food & Beverage, Facilities and other departments to ensure their continued and prioritized employment.

As an enterprise rooted in Macao, Wynn has always been actively providing career development opportunities for Macao residents with a commitment to nurturing the new generation of leaders. In the future, the company will continue to consider recruiting for new positions in different fields based on the needs of business development and will maintain close cooperation with DSAL to offer locals a variety of job opportunities, thus contributing its part to ensuring local employment stability.

Local employees currently account for nearly 90% of incumbent middle and senior management executives at Wynn, which testifies to the company’s commitment to providing team members with opportunities for upward and horizontal mobility and stabilizing the employment of Macao residents.
