Wynn Launches New Immersive Destination "Illuminarium"

Macao, January 19, 2024 —Wynn has always supported the Macao SAR Government's efforts in promoting an appropriate economic diversification development strategy, continuously enriching and showcasing Macao's diverse tourism landscape through "tourism+" and advancing the city's position as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure. To honor the significant achievements of China's aerospace industry over the past 30 years and as a gift in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR, Wynn is pleased to officially launch Illuminarium, a brand-new immersive destination at Wynn Palace. Primarily themed around space travel, Illuminarium gives local residents and visitors the opportunity to explore an exciting journey of discovery, marvel at the vast expanse of the universe and learn about the monumental milestones achieved by China's aerospace industry in a fun and interactive way, delivered through a blend of technology and breath-taking beauty. 

A number of distinguished guests attended the opening ceremony this afternoon (January 19), to witness the official launch of Illuminarium, including: Ms. Yang Hao, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office; Ms. Leong Wai Man, President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau; Mr. Chan Chou Weng, Acting Head of the Technology Department of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau; Dr. Allan Zeman, Chairman and Independent non-executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited; Ms. Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited; and  Mr. Alan Greenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Illuminarium Experiences.

In her remarks at the opening ceremony, Ms. Linda Chen said: "Wynn hopes that Illuminarium will lead visitors on a journey of discovery into the thousand-year history of China's spirit of exploration and pay tribute to the major milestones that the China aerospace industry has achieved over the past three decades, while also representing a gift in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR. Illuminarium has been designed with the aim of supporting the moderate diversified development of Macao, and we look forward to ensuring that this brand-new immersive destination serves as a far-reaching educational platform, creates a more diversified experience for visitors, and makes significant contributions to Macao's tourism industry."  

During the afternoon following the opening ceremony, Wynn also held a sharing session titled, "Beauty and Knowledge of Space". Three guest speakers – Mr. Zhao Chuandong, Taikonaut and Popular Science Expert; Mr. Cao Jun, National Artist; and Assistant Professor Tang Chi Pui of the SSI (Space Science Institute) for Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), were invited to personally share their insights on the theme of space. In the evening, Wynn hosted an immersive Illuminarium gala dinner for guests and members of the media to enjoy a multi-sensory dining experience evocative of space exploration. 
Illuminarium is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at MOP198. Individuals with Macao student ID cards, seniors aged 65 or above and children aged 4-12, or visitors who register to become Wynn Insider members may purchase tickets for MOP148. Macao residents may enjoy a special admission fee of MOP138.
