Wynn Macau Supports Macau Holy House of Mercy's Welfare Shop for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Macau, July 2, 2016 – As a responsible corporate citizen, Wynn Macau has been supporting local charitable organizations since its establishment in the city, in a bid to create a harmonious society. Today, Wynn Macau donated MOP300,000 to Macau Holy House of Mercy (SCMM)'s Welfare Shop Project to finance the distribution of food hampers to 355 underprivileged families.

Ms. Linda Chen, Executive Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Wynn Macau, Limited, presented the cheque to Mr. António José de Freitas, President of SCMM. Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Manuel Pires Júnior, Member of Board of Directors of SCMM, Mr. Leong Heng Kao, President of the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau, Ms. Leong Lok Wa, Vice President of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, Ms. Katharine Liu, Vice President of Communications of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, Ms. Jasmine Cheong, Director of Corporate Communications & Community Relations of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, and Mr. Thomas Lau, Director of Human Resources of Wynn Macau.

Around 30 warm-hearted volunteers from Wynn Macau took part in the food hamper distribution, handing out hampers containing basic food and daily necessities. In addition, this year Wynn Macau has also given out $100 supermarket vouchers as a special gift to each household.

The SCMM Welfare Shop project was launched in 2013 with the aim of assisting underprivileged families by providing them with basic food and daily necessities to alleviate the burden caused by inflation and increased cost of living. Wynn Macau has donated a total of MOP 1,100,000 over four years in support of this project.
