Celebrate the Arrival of Spring with Wynn

Macau, January 7, 2019 – As Chinese New Year approaches, Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace Cotai are the perfect destinations for dining with friends and family. Wynn is honoring this very special time of year with traditional dishes carefully crafted by the master chefs at the helm of our signature restaurants.  Each restaurant has designed special Chinese New Year menus featuring beautifully prepared dishes for family and friends to celebrate the arrival of a new year.

Wynn Macau
The award-winning Golden Flower, which has received the Michelin two-star honor for seven consecutive years, is proud to carry on the legacy of Tan Zongjun, a Qing Dynasty Guangdong official who introduced Tan cuisine, a very intricate culinary art form that brings the best flavors and finest ingredients of China's North and South together. This spring, Golden Flower is introducing a series of new dishes in celebration of the Chinese New Year. The Sliced Red Grouper and Live Abalone Served in Hot Fish Soup is one of the highlights as it is a reflection of lively Chinese New Year celebrations. The word for "fish" in Chinese also sounds like the Chinese word for "abundance". So to ensure the year ahead will be abundantly prosperous and healthy, fish is an absolute must for every Chinese New Year celebration. Golden Flower will also present traditional Northern Chinese-style dishes of the season such as Fried Beijing New Year Cakes to ensure greater prosperity with each new year.

Another one of Wynn Macau's award-winning restaurants, Wing Lei, which has received Michelin recognition for 10 consecutive years, and is renowned for its traditional Cantonese fare, will serve Deep-fried Malaysia Marlboro Fish with Supreme Soy Sauce – a Chinese New Year classic. The Marlboro from Malaysia is tender and sweet, and is heralded as one of the best variety of freshwater fish. This dish first became popular in Hong Kong in the 1950s and requires absolute precision when cooking. The fish is cooked carefully and slowly in hot oil at just the right temperature so that it is crispy on the outside, yet full of flavor, juicy and tender on the inside. Red 8 and 99 Noodles will also be serving Chinese New Year favorites, with special Chinese New Year and Chef Recommended dishes.

Wynn Palace Cotai
Wing Lei Palace, with its stunning views overlooking the Performance Lake is serving traditional, Chinese New Year dishes that are masterfully prepared using the highest quality of ingredients. This new year, Wing Lei Palace presents Chilled Abalone, Sea Cucumber, Pomelo and Chinese Pickles Salad, a traditional favorite full of premium seafood, such as Japanese abalone, and Hokkaido sea cucumber.  In Chinese New Year tradition, this Cantonese-style salad, or "Prosperity Toss" is the very first dish to be served to ensure prosperity is raised to new heights in the new year. Wing Lei Palace will also offer a selection of more than 40 premium dishes, giving guests an opportunity to experience a variety of dishes paired with specialty teas while enjoying the colorful lights and sounds of the Performance Lake. It's the perfect setting for Chinese New Year with friends and family.

Located in the heart of Wynn Palace, Red 8 and 99 Noodles are offering an array of Chinese New Year specialties for guests to enjoy from China's north and south. For family and friends who may wish to indulge in a sumptuous spread of international dishes, Fontana Buffet is serving sensational lunch and dinner buffets throughout the Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year Cakes are also a very important tradition at Wynn. From January 21 to February 4, Wing Lei at Wynn Macau and Sweets at Wynn Palace will have an assortment of elegantly packaged Chinese New Year Cakes for guests to select from. Each cake is lovingly prepared and made with the finest ingredients.
