Promoting Macau's rich cultural experiences and cuisines
to showcase Macau as a "Creative City of Gastronomy"

Macau, June 9, 2023 — Wynn participated in the "Macao Week in Shandong • Qingdao" roadshow organized by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) from June 8 to 12 at the Olympic Sailing Centre in the Southern District of Qingdao, Shandong. In addition to attending the roadshow, Wynn also brought a team of award-winning chefs to the InterContinental Qingdao to launch "A Delicious Inheritance of Macanese Gastronomy" promotion. This special gastronomic event shared the best of Macanese cuisine with Mainland Chinese residents and promoted the sustainable development of tourism between the two destinations which are renowned the world over for their cuisines, with Macau earning the designation of "Creative City of Gastronomy" and Qingdao receiving the honor of "International Marine Gourmet City".

The Macao Government Tourism Office, Wynn Resorts and InterContinental Qingdao jointly organized a "A Delicious Inheritance of Macanese Gastronomy" promotion at Flavours Restaurant in the InterContinental Qingdao from June 8 to 15. David Wong, Executive Director of the Wynn Food & Beverage Academy; Otilia Rodrigues Novo, Assistant Manager of the Wynn Food & Beverage Academy (Culinary); and Celebrity Chef Raymond Vong, a master of Macanese cuisine, presented the authentic flavors of Macau through a "Macanese-themed Buffet" and a "Macanese Gastronomy Workshop". Local Qingdao residents and media were given the opportunity to experience the authenticity of Macau's cuisines throughout this event. The team of chefs from Wynn even exchanged Macanese recipes with Qingdao chefs to further spread knowledge about the intangible cultural heritage of Macau.

In an effort to attract more Mainland Chinese visitors to Macau, Wynn gave away a range of attractive accommodation offers during the "Macao Week in Shandong • Qingdao" roadshow.  From now through June 15, tourists can book stays at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace for nearly 30% off on hotel accommodation including in-room breakfast for two, dining credit, suite upgrades and many other exclusive benefits. Those who registered to become "Wynn Insider" members at the Wynn exhibit received special gifts on site, and all visitors were eligible to participate in a lucky draw on the Dianping platform during the roadshow by simply scanning the QR code at the Wynn exhibit. Mainland Chinese residents and tourists who participated in the lucky draw were given a chance to win a stay in a sumptuous suite at Wynn Palace or Wynn Macau inclusive of in-room breakfast for two, dining vouchers, or a complimentary "Macanese-themed Buffet" dining experience at Flavours Restaurant in the InterContinental Qingdao.

At the roadshow, Wynn promoted Macau's exciting new tourism experiences through a variety of online and offline channels. By participating in a number of live broadcasts with online travel agency platforms and well-known bloggers, Wynn was able to present exclusive offers for stays at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace and introduce all of the facilities at both resorts. In an effort to further boost awareness about Macau's tourism industry throughout Mainland China, Wynn also networked with travel partners and wholesale tour operators during the event.

The Wynn exhibit showcased the iconic SkyCab and the visually stunning hot air balloon floral sculpture, much like the one found in the lobby of Wynn Palace. Visitors were invited to explore three different themed SkyCabs and discover Wynn's one-of-a-kind entertainment for a truly immersive experience, reminiscent of Macau. During the roadshow, a spectacular dance troupe from Mainland China also entertained audiences with their impressive dance moves.

Wynn will continue to work closely with the Macao SAR Government and the community to spread awareness about Macau through a wide range of activities and promotional channels; further build on Macau's role as a "World Center of Tourism and Leisure", while also proactively boosting long-term tourism and economic developments in Macau.
