Macau, April 20, 2018 – The "Wynn Local SME Procurement Partnership Meeting 2018 – Business Matching Session for Small and Micro Enterprises, "Made in Macao" Enterprises and Young Entrepreneurs" co-organized by Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. and the Macao Chamber of Commerce, alongside the "Wynn Local SME Vendor Referral Program Award Ceremony", were held today at 11am in the Grand Ballroom of Wynn Macau. The partnership meeting was well-received and attracted participation from more than 200 representatives from local SMEs.

Since its opening, Wynn has been committed to prioritizing local procurement and has established close and long-term business partnerships with local SMEs, aiming to develop mutually beneficial relationships. Since 2016, Wynn has worked to host a number of business matching sessions across different supplier categories, including food and beverage, hotel, facilities, and those dedicated to supporting Small and Micro Enterprises, "Made in Macao" Enterprises and Young Entrepreneurs. Representatives of the Procurement Department at Wynn met with all participating SMEs, enabling the two parties to introduce themselves and hold individual discussions.

In her speech, Ms. Linda Chen, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited said, "Wynn has always believed in assisting local SMEs in their business development, so therefore we will continue to organize procurement partnership meetings." She further emphasized that, "As the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge will soon open to traffic, the interconnectivity of the Greater Bay Area will increase the massive flow of people and logistics through the bridge, bringing unprecedented business opportunities to both Macau and its local SMEs. We intend to grasp these opportunities and strengthen our connections. Wynn hopes to jointly cooperate with local SMEs to effectively integrate into the Greater Bay Area, contributing to the country's overall development."

Since launching the "Wynn Local SME Network" last year, Wynn has expanded its cooperation with local SMEs and built mutually beneficial business partnerships, enhancing Macau's overall competiveness and promoting the diversification of the economy. The "Wynn Local SME Vendor Referral Program" is one of the key elements of the initiative, with Wynn's registered vendors recommending their own partners from among the three major types of SMEs. This program mobilized the power of existing Wynn vendors to build a broader business network, opening up more opportunities for cooperation with local SMEs and to achieve business success.

The award ceremony for the program was held this morning. The top three participating companies with the most referred vendors registered with Wynn are: Woodpak Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd, CI Kitchen Equipment Company Limited and W.H. Consulting Company Limited. Mr. Tai Kin Ip, Director of Macao Economic Services, Ms. Linda Chen, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited, and Mr. Chui Yuk Lum, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Macao Chamber of Commerce were invited to present the honors to the companies at the award ceremony.

Finally, Wynn has also announced the launch of the "Wynn SME Development Support Scheme", where the company will assist in selecting SMEs with significant development potential that are facing difficulties with their logistics by providing financial support for logistics based on their respective strengths and needs. This will help to reduce these operational pressures, and help them grow bigger and stronger.

Continuing the successful experience of last year's meeting, this year continued to leverage the Online Business Matching Service Platform of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) to register all attendees at the business matching session. The event also drove an additional 188 corporate users to the online platform, accounting for over 50% of all attendees at the event. Through this online platform, local SMEs can receive information and invitations from various organizers for business matching, partnership meetings and exhibitions. While enhancing the electronic development of procurement collaboration, more importantly this also helps create more business opportunities.

At the event, the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) was also invited to provide on-site technical support to assist local SMEs in downloading 'ChoicePro', a procurement platform mobile application through which companies can centralize the releasing and receiving of procurement information, improve the database of local suppliers and which further promotes business collaboration between local SMEs and large enterprises. At the same time, the three major local banks, Bank of China (Macau Branch), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) and Banco Nacional Ultramarino also attended the meeting to provide suitable business information for local SMEs as needed.
