The donation will be handed to the local government of Congjiang to fund the renovation of dilapidated houses and the construction of a brand new Gulou building (Drum Tower).

The event was also graced by Mr. Liu Bin, Director General of Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R., Mr. Dai Ru Ming, Deputy Director of Social Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R., Mr. Zuo Xiang Hua, Director of Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao S.A.R., Ms. Jasmine Cheong, Executive Director of Community and Government Relations of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, Mr. Alvin Cheong, Assistant Manager of Community and Government Relations of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, Mr. Che Fok Sang, Vice President of Macau Federal Commercial Association of Convention & Exhibition Industry, Ms. Mok Siu Ling, General Secretary of Macau Federal Commercial Association of Convention & Exhibition Industry.

In response to the Macao SAR government's and the Liaison Office's call for targeted poverty relief in Mainland China, Wynn has partnered with the Macau Federal Commercial Association of the Convention & Exhibition Industry (MCECA) in organizing trips to Congjiang and a 'Congjiang Gala Cultural Night'. Over 70 Wynn employee volunteers, MCECA members, as well as local teachers and students, travelled to Congjiang last November, as well as in March and May this year. Participants supported the poverty alleviation work in Congjiang and saw the villagers' needs and difficulties. In addition, 6 Wynn team members from engineering-related departments conducted an inspection of the buildings that families live in. They also held follow-up meetings with their colleagues after they returned to Macau, in the hope of improving their living conditions by offering professional advice. Ms. Linda Chen said, "As an international integrated resort enterprise rooted in Macau, Wynn is committed to fostering the growth and prosperity of the local community. Our charity projects stretch across different sectors of society and around the world, benefiting various groups of people. We plan to arrange another return visit to Congjiang by the end of this year to inspect the renovated houses."

The safety of rural housing is one of the biggest problems facing Congjiang, Guizhou Province. Many of the residential buildings in Congjiang are built on hillsides using wood, due to historical and geographical factors. However, they have become dilapidated due to disrepair over a long period of time. Wynn is therefore committed to implementing the related alleviation work including renovating and repairing these dilapidated houses. Moreover, Wynn will make a donation to support the construction of a new Gulou building for the villagers, which is an indispensable part of their daily life as all business meetings, gatherings and tribal celebrations take place there, symbolizing the passing on of their culture to the next generation.

Wynn hopes to continue to play its role in making a positive impact on the Macau's community and the country, as well as showing love and care to those who are in need. We endeavour to make full use of our influence to encourage and engage with different sectors of society in supporting poverty alleviation work in Mainland China.
