To co-launch "School-Corporation Partnership" and "Parenting Education"

Macau, June 8, 2022As an integral part of Macao's business ecosystem and local community, Wynn is dedicated to safeguarding the wellbeing the city's youth and fostering their personal and professional growth. In response to the Macao SAR Government's policies of "Macao Thrives on Education" and "Building Macao through Talent Training", Wynn has signed two memoranda of understanding with the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) to launch the School-Corporation Partnership and the Parenting Education. Through these two collaborative initiatives, established with the goal of offering students and young people learning and training opportunities across industries, Wynn and the DSEDJ hope to work together to help cultivate a new generation of talent in Macao.

The Inspiring Through Talents Nurturing Program Collaboration Signing Ceremony took place at Wynn Palace on June 7, 2022. Kong Chi Meng, Director of the DSEDJ, and Zuleika Mok, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Wynn Macau, Limited, co-signed the memoranda during the event, with Ao Ieong U, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Xu Ting, Director of the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR; and Linda Chen, President and Executive Director of Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. also in attendance.

The memoranda involve the introduction and implementation of two collaborative initiatives. Under the School-Corporation Partnership, Wynn will carry out a series of collaborations with Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional under DSEDJ, and provide assistance to the school's International Culinary Courses under the Technical and Professional High School Programme, in aspects including curriculum design and planning, internship and employment opportunities. The Parenting Education, on the other hand, will see Wynn and the DSEDJ jointly develop employee training courses in parenting education. The program, supported by a combination of community resources, workshops and parent-child activities, is designed to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to nurture their children in a loving environment.

"Wynn is honored to partner with the DSEDJ in launching the two collaborative initiatives," said Linda Chen. "The establishment of School-Corporation Partnership will no doubt help build the culinary talent pool of Macao and strengthen its status as a food paradise. We can cultivate young generations of professionals with practical skills, create a broad space for their career advancement, and promote Macao's culinary culture and influence."

"Meanwhile, the Parenting Education, tailor-made for our team members who are parents, will enhance their ability to understand, support and guide their children, giving them the tools to better bolster the children's health and development and create a more positive home environment, which in turn contributes to the stability and prosperity of the whole society," she adds.

The signing of the memoranda signals Wynn's deep and abiding commitment to youth development and allows it to care for the needs of various youth groups in a more effective and direct manner. Wynn will work continuously to ensure more development opportunities for Macao's youth, especially in education, employment and social participation, and to contribute to their long-term growth by providing useful services and support.
