Macau, January 29, 2016 – Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. together with the Macao Chamber of Commerce have announced today, the launch of the Local SME Procurement Partnership Program, in a press conference that counted with the support of the Economic Bureau, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) and the Business Incubation Center for Youth. Also announced at today's press conference, were the upcoming quarterly Business Matching Sessions and the commission of CPTTM to organize a Procurement Platform Mobile App Design Competition as well as a series of workshops tailored for local SMEs. The event had an overwhelming response, attracting over 400 local SMEs' representatives.

Since its opening in 2006, Wynn has been a committed member in the local community. Over the past decade, the city and the company have grown together, as pointed out by Ms. Linda Chen, Executive Director of Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., in her welcome speech: "Time has allowed Wynn Macau and the local small-and-medium-sized enterprises to grow stronger together. We have been collaborating with some of the SMEs since our pre-opening, more than a decade ago. We have witnessed the growth of the SMEs alongside Wynn's development over the past ten years."

Following the SAR Government's initiatives in supporting SMEs, both Wynn and the MCC placed special attention on cultivating three major types of local businesses, small and micro enterprises, made in Macao companies, and companies created by Macau young entrepreneurs. Wynn will release a list of 36 types of procurement projects for local companies. Each of the Business Matching Sessions will focus on one major category, namely Food & Beverage, Hotel Operations, Facilities and Others including but not limited to Services and Contracts. Interested parties can find more  information  online  at  www.wynnmacaulimited.com  under  the  "Corporate  Social Responsibility" section. The information will also be uploaded to a new SMEs business platform established by CPTTM.

It was also announced at the press conference that interested companies are invited to participate in the Procurement Platform Mobile App Design Competition by downloading relevant application forms at http://cms.cpttm.org.mo commencing today. The organizers hope that the platform created as a result of the competition will allow local SMEs to conveniently access opportunities presented by larger corporations, foster the growth of local technology industry and entice the creativity of local youth enterprises. The platform will be opened to the public free of charge, in a collaborative effort to promote a mutually beneficial development.

In addition, the organizer has also commissioned CPTTM to create a series of workshops tailored for local SMEs with the aim of refining their management capability. The workshops will be hosted quarterly, covering four major areas including Start-up Essentials, SME Financial Management, Sales Strategy and Service Quality. CPTTM will invite senior consultants and professionals to share their experience with the participants.
