Wynn Hosts 2023 Local SME Procurement Partnership Meeting

Promoting "Made in Macau" and creating win-win partnerships with SMEs

Macau, April 25, 2023 — The "2023 Wynn local SME Procurement Partnership Meeting and 'M-Mark' Promotion" organized by Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. was successfully held at 10am today in the Grand Ballroom of Wynn Macau. The SME business networking series in 2023 attracted almost 400 representatives from local SMEs, providing on-site meeting opportunities for Macau's local suppliers and Wynn's procurement specialists. An exclusive technology and innovation zone was also set up to offer local tech innovators a platform to explore potential collaboration and partnerships. In addition, Wynn arranged seminars and training sessions on the "M-Mark" certification, helping the local SMEs to improve manufacturing and management performances, increase overall competitiveness, and support the appropriate diversified development of Macau's economy.

"As a global integrated leisure and entertainment resort, Wynn is committed to seeking more collaboration opportunities and creating synergies with local SMEs, jointly enhancing the economic diversification of Macau," Ms. Linda Chen, President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Wynn Macau, Limited, said in her speech. "In line with Wynn's corporate culture, the 'M-Mark' certification program aims to raise the awareness of local product branding and quality control among the SMEs. As a result, Wynn has been actively communicating with Macau Product Quality Certification Committee since the beginning of the pandemic — We successfully commissioned 'M-Mark' certified manufacturers to produce reusable masks and organized 'M-Mark' promotion and recognition programs. Further demonstrating Wynn's confidence over the quality of certified made-in-Macau products, we have also set up sales roadshows in team members' back-of-the-house areas and hosted live-streaming sales events."

The networking event encompasses two sessions: seminars and training. Ms. Helena Lei, Senior Manager of the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center, introduced the latest information of "M-Mark" certification program for local SMEs in Macau. This program aims to encourage SMEs to continuously improve their technical and service standards, jointly promote "Made in Macau" products and expand greater development opportunities. Various professional training courses were also provided, covering related topics such as business etiquette. Through these all-rounded trainings, Wynn is dedicated to assisting local SMEs in enhancing their competitiveness, better adapting to the needs of Macau's future economic development and market changes, and capturing the new opportunities of Macau's diversified development.

Since its opening, Wynn has been prioritizing local procurement and will continuously build closer ties with more local enterprises to drive Macau's prosperity and development. In recent years, the number of participants in Wynn's Local SME Procurement Partnership Meeting has accumulated to over 1,800. In 2022, Wynn set a new historical high of local procurement, with 86% of the total procurement contracts. Additionally, Wynn awarded nearly 60% of its local SME procurement contracts to Macau micro-and small-sized enterprises (MSEs), manufacturing enterprises, and youth entrepreneurs, showcasing that local SMEs are important partners of Wynn.
