Wynn Macau Lights Up Waterfront Promenade with “Wynn Butterfly Story”
Discover Macau’s vibrant art scene outdoors and
step indoors to experience a very special Afternoon Tea

Macau, September 3, 2018 – This Mid-Autumn, Wynn Macau is pleased to partner with one of the city’s most respected architects and artists, Carlos Marreiros, to light up the waterfront promenade with art installations and lantern displays designed entirely by local artists. The 3rd Macau International Lantern Festival, supported by the Macao Government Tourist Office (MGTO) and Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM), sets the stage to showcase the city’s vibrant culture and art scene now through October 14.

Themed “Wynn Butterfly Story”, an impressive interactive art installation featuring fluttering butterflies and beautiful flowers are now on display along the waterfront promenade by Wynn Macau, giving visitors an opportunity to engage with LED animations and to admire vibrant lanterns. The concept of “Wynn Butterfly Story” is to showcase “art without borders”.

Wynn Macau is also pleased to be partnering with the Fuhong Society of Macau, a non-profit organization that cares for individuals with autism or other disabilities. Autistic artist Mr. Leong Ieng Wai, or better known as “0.38” – since he uses a 0.38 mm gel ink pen for his remarkably detailed sketches – has created a very special piece entitled “Landing on 0.38 Kingdom of Happiness”. His artwork, featuring the Mid-Autumn moon, is perfect for this year’s Lantern Festival, and is on display at the waterfront promenade.

Family and friends are welcome to share their best Lantern Festival photos on the Wynn WeChat page to win prizes and for even more fun, play the “Hunting Game” to redeem fabulous rewards. Visitors can also step indoors to enjoy a very special Wynn Butterfly themed Afternoon Tea at Café Esplanada and give back to the Fuhong Society of Macau, by purchasing a little reminder of Macau at Wynn Macau or Wynn Palace Cotai.
