Wynn signs "Occupational Health and Safety Charter"

Committed to achieving excellence in OHS and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace

Macau, January 4, 2018 – Wynn has been committed to promoting an occupational health and safety culture, and has been proactive in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for its team members over the years. In order to further strengthen its commitment to promoting occupational safety, Wynn Resorts (Macau), S.A. today signed the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Charter, witnessed by the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL). Following the ceremony, a group of distinguished guests were led on a tour of the Wynn Facilities Academy, where the company systematically nurtures local facilities management professionals. Wynn also organized a roadshow in its back-ofhouse area to promote a positive health and safety culture and to increase team members' awareness on OHS.

The "Occupational Health and Safety Charter" signing ceremony took place at 4pm today at the Learning Room in the back-of-house area of Wynn Palace. Witnessed by Mr. Wong Chi Hong, Director of the DSAL, the charter was signed by Ms. Zuleika Mok, Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Wynn Macau, Limited, alongside employee representatives of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace. Meanwhile, Ms. Linda Chen, President and Executive Director of Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. and Mr. Wong Chi Hong presented souvenirs to each other, followed by a group photo to commemorate this special moment. Upon completion of the ceremony, Mr. Wong Chi Hong and guests were taken on a tour of the Wynn Facilities Academy, which opened in September of last year.

The Wynn Facilities Academy is another initiative following the success of the establishment of the Wynn Academy and Food & Beverage Academy, nurturing local talents through professional training. Its aim is to develop more local professionals who are interested in the field of facilities management through a comprehensive and standardized curriculum. The Academy combines the curricula and technical certifications provided by the DSAL, allowing trainees to accumulate relevant experience during a 24-month phased course. Following the principle of "First-Hire-Then-Train", trainees are not only offered a job and an opportunity to learn a professional skill, but are also able to obtain a technical qualification. They can then pursue an established future career path according to different career opportunities provided by the company. The uniqueness of Wynn's professional training is to combine theoretical and practical studies, enabling trainees to develop a career and an interest at the same time.

On the day of the signing ceremony, the OSH team and Employee Services department of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, together with DSAL, jointly organized a road show to promote OHS culture in the back-of-house area, communicating its importance to team members through entertaining booth games. The road show included a variety of elements including game booths and an OSH information panel display provided by the DSAL. In addition, Wynn will organize four other roadshows in January that is expected to draw over 4,000 team members to participate.
