200 senior citizens from Tung Sin Tong enjoy a great day at the Panda Pavilion

Macau, May 13, 2016 – Wynn Macau has been collaborating with several local charitable organizations throughout the years. This time, the Wynn Employee Volunteer Team (WE volunteer) is proud to have organized a successful activity, inviting nearly 200 senior citizens from the Elderly Activity Center of Tung Sin Tong participating in a two day outing to the Macau Giant Panda Pavilion.

The event enabled seniors to enjoy a day in the great outdoors, surrounded by nature. Naturally the two pandas, Hoi Hoi and Sam Sam, were the big stars of the day, causing great excitement among the visitors, most of whom had not had a chance to visit the pavilion before. “This is my first time volunteering and it was extremely rewarding to see the happiness in their faces and hear their laughter.” said Chan, one of the WE Volunteer members. She added that she would “continue to participate in the different volunteer activities in the future, so I can extend care and warm wishes to those in need.”

Committed to giving back to the local community by actively participating in different charitable and volunteering activities, The WE volunteer team accompanied the elderly on their outing. After several hours of healthy strolling through the Seac Pai Van Park, the group was brought back to Wynn Macau to enjoy a delicious lunch and an afternoon filled with educational games in an atmosphere of camaraderie. By the end, the volunteers gave out a party favor to each participant.

The representative of the Center, Ms. Lau, was grateful to Wynn for the opportunity. She explained that the Center’s elderly are extremely active and greatly enjoyed the exercise. “Tung Sin Tong has spared no effort in promoting elderly services and improving their quality of life. However, it is thanks to the community that cares for the elderly as much as we do that we are able to organize different kinds of events. This means our seniors are happier and are able to enjoy life to the fullest”, she said.

Wynn continues to support different charitable activities in the city, always striving to better people’s livelihoods. This is made possible thanks to the dedication of its WE Volunteer Team members who are willing to donate their time for a good cause.
