Wynn Acquires HACCP Certification

  • 07-JAN-2021

Macau, January 7, 2021 ─ Wynn places great importance on the management of food safety and quality. The adoption of strict food safety standards and management systems ensures all guests and employees have a consistently high-quality dining experience. Recently, Wynn Palace successfully passed an audit conducted by the third-party certification agency SGS Hong Kong Limited and acquired the international food safety management system certification of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), underlining that the company's food safety and production management are at the forefront of global standards and requirements.

The HACCP certification is an internationally-recognized food safety management standard system that complies with the international food safety standards, guidelines and code of conduct set up by the International Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC), an official body established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The requirements aim to protect the health of consumers.

In order to meet the HACCP requirements, Wynn formed a dedicated committee from more than 10 key departments, specifically responsible for the establishment of the HACCP system, and carried out an 18-month certification process. Following the successful passing of the assessment, the HACCP certification has been obtained thanks to this cross-departmental effort and collaboration. A food safety management system with leading international standards has also been established, further enhancing employees' awareness of food safety and minimizing the risk of food hazards.

At a time of increasing pandemic control measures, this HACCP certification further underlines Wynn's strict regulations on food safety and hygiene, as well as its commitment to ensuring the health and safety of employees and guests. In the future, Wynn will continue to strive for excellence, make every effort to maintain the safety and reliability of food quality, and proactively promote the development of food safety in Macau with its suppliers and business partners.
