The only integrated resort operator in Macau to have all its properties benchmarked

Macau, November 9, 2022 – As a mega-scale integrated enterprise with deep roots in Macau, Wynn has placed great importance on effectively implementing its corporate social responsibility strategy. The company has always committed to integrating Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors into daily business operation while also pushing forward the sustainable development of the community. Recently Wynn was awarded Silver Certification from EarthCheck - the world's leading scientific benchmarking, certification and advisory group - making Wynn the only resort operator in Macau to have all its properties EarthCheck benchmarked. This award was in recognition of Wynn's sustainable development policies and efforts in environmental protection, which have been widely acclaimed by the industry and the world.

EarthCheck is one of the world's most scientifically rigorous Environmental Management Systems (EMS) designed specifically for companies operating in the travel and tourism industries. By signing up for their quantitative benchmarking evaluation, Wynn further formalized our EMS approach, seeking to continuously improve the standards and efficiency about natural resources and energy consumption in our resorts with the aim of attaining their internationally recognized certification. With the concerted efforts of the company, guests and Wynn team members, last year Wynn attained EarthCheck Benchmarked Bronze status and now it has been upgraded to Silver status, further demonstrating Wynn's outstanding performance in pushing for sustainable development.

Wynn has been seeking to strengthen its sustainable development strategies and solutions, such as introducing the 'Winnow Vision", an AI-based monitoring technology to help reduce food waste, as well as installing and using at significant scale an on-site Nordaq water bottling plant to reduce the generation of plastic waste – our concrete action to improve energy consumption, and reduce waste and pollution. The company has also received numerous international accreditations and awards, including those from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody (CoC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Chain of Custody (CoC); and "The 2nd Sustainable Development Forum 2021——Typical Cases of Carbon Neutrality" – the only excellent environmental enterprise to be recognized from those based in either Macau, Hong Kong or Taiwan. Earlier Wynn also won the Grand Award in Sustainability and Social Responsibility at the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards 2022, becoming the first integrated resort in Macau bestowed with this recognition.

In the future, Wynn will continue to actively enforce environmental protection measures and promote green corporate culture in a bid to raise the awareness for environmental protection among guests and team members and across the social spectrum, striving to build a green Macau with a low-carbon footprint, steering towards a green future.
