Macao, May 3, 2024 — In support of the Macao SAR Government's '1+4' moderate diversification development strategy, Wynn remains actively engaged in revitalizing Macao's historical districts. Since the launch of the "Rua da Felicidade Pedestrian Zone" last year, Wynn has filled the area with a vibrant and artistic atmosphere of colorful décor, cultural and creative markets, and specialty food and beverages to boost local business and inject new vitality into Rua da Felicidade. Wynn is now pleased to take these efforts a step further and showcase the vibrancy of Macao's fashion scene by co-organizing the "Rua da Felicidade Fashion Week" in partnership with the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR; the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM); and the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) from now through June 2, with the objective to showcase the latest creations from Macao's fashion brands; revitalize businesses in the community through the arts and culture; and offer a unique fashion and cultural tourism experience for Macao locals and visitors.

Today (May 3) marked the start of the Rua da Felicidade Fashion Week at the Rua da Felicidade Pedestrian Zone. Officiating guests attending the launch ceremony included: Leong Wai Man, Director of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR; Lao Ngai Leong, Macao Deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and President of the Advisory Committee for CPTTM; Chan Ka Leong, member of the Executive Council of the Macao SAR, Director General of the General Union of Neighborhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM); Linda Chen, President, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Wynn Macau, Limited; Victoria Alexa Kuan Chan, Director General of the CPTTM; Zhang Zhiqing, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at MUST; Tou Mio Leng, President of the Neighborhood Mutual Aid Association of Rua da Felicidade and Kwan Yany Yan Chi, President of the Macao Old District Promotion Association.

Prior to the show, Rua da Felicidade Fashion Week launched an open call for Macao fashion brands to participate in this inaugural event, where 10 local fashion brands which best highlight local creativity and originality were selected to showcase Macao's latest fashion trends. The selected brands will present their Spring/Summer 2024 design collections featuring a total of 70 designer outfits at the fashion show. To complement the fashion week, a temporary exhibit of the designs from each brand is on display from April 29 until June 2 at Rua da Felicidade. These product displays are designed to give visitors a window into the stylish world of Macao fashion, boost the visibility of local fashion brands, and generate more business leads.

During the Labor Day Golden Week holidays from April 29 to May 5, Wynn is also hosting a series of exciting events at the Rua da Felicidade Pedestrian Zone. The goal is to give locals and tourists an opportunity to truly experience the vibrancy of Rua da Felicidade, while also promoting economic diversification for the community. Wynn also provides complimentary shuttle bus services between Wynn Macau and Rua Das Estalagens, giving everyone the opportunity to easily access these events during the holidays.

Through the arts and culture, Wynn hopes to entice more visitors to Macao and the Greater Bay Area with the addition of rich, new tourism experiences and vibrant festivities. Wynn will continue to enrich Macao's cultural tourism offerings and expand the cross-sector integration of 'Tourism+' to boost the city's economy and the sustainable development of the tourism industry over the long-term.
