Wynn Presents Etherea by Globally Renowned Artist Edoardo Tresoldi

Promoting "tourism + culture and the arts" to support the development of high-quality tourism in Macau and drive the expansion of the overseas tourism market

Macau, December 7, 2023 — This month, Wynn has invited Edoardo Tresoldi to exhibit Etherea, a mesmerizing art installation for Macau, with the goal of promoting "tourism + culture and the arts" and supporting the city's moderate economic diversification. By bringing internationally renowned works of art to Macau, Wynn supports the development of high-quality tourism that will drive the expansion of the overseas tourism market into Macau.

Masterful artist Tresoldi excels at playing with the transparency of wire mesh and other industrial materials to create magnificent works of art that visually appear in the disappearing physical limitation and transcend the space-time dimension to narrate a dialogue between art and the world.  His artworks are a blend of classical and modern languages, and from them emerge a third, strong contemporary language.

Etherea, one of Edoardo Tresoldi's most evocative artworks, has already captivated audiences at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States. This towering sculpture, standing approximately 10 meters high, has been artistically reimagined for the display at the Wynn Macau Lakeside Promenade, adorned with captivating light effects. Inspired by the grandeur of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture, Etherea is a transparent masterpiece that engages in a captivating dialogue with the surrounding waterfront along the promenade, offering guests a fresh perspective on open space.  Tresoldi's artistic vision explores the poetic connection between human beings and the landscape, using the language of architecture as an expressive tool. Through the interplay of transparent wire mesh, he transcends the constraints of space and time, blurring the boundaries between art and the world, and unveiling a visual synthesis that defies physical limitations.
