Wynn's collaboration with local SMEs valued at MOP68 million

Macau, August 8, 2016 – Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A. and the Macao Chamber of Commerce (MCC) launched the "Local SME Procurement Partnership Program" earlier this year, a process that supported by Macao Economic Services, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) and the Business Incubation Center for Youth. This program consists of Business Matching Sessions and a "Procurement Platform Mobile App Design Competition", as well as a series of workshops tailored to local SMEs.

In just three months, from the first business matching session hosted in April up until June, the company has successfully closed new deals, valued at MOP 68 million, with more than 200 local SMEs. Through the Local SME Procurement Partnership Program, the company has been providing a list of procurement items in 36 categories and organizing business matching sessions. Each of these sessions focuses on one major category, namely Food & Beverage, Hotel Operations, Facilities and others including, but not limited to, Services and Contracts.

Following the SAR Government's initiatives to support SMEs, both Wynn and the MCC have been placing special attention on cultivating three major types of local businesses: small and micro enterprises, made in Macao companies, and companies created by Macau young entrepreneurs. Wynn further believes that incentivizing local companies is a step towards achieving the goal of transforming Macau into a world center of tourism and leisure. As such the company will continue its efforts to "buy local".
