Macau, November 14, 2023 — Wynn Macau is hosting a "Savour with Wynn" Bordeaux wine event on November 25 and 26. The event brings together 24 top wineries from Bordeaux to Macau, including Château Lafite Rothschild, one of the world's top wineries and other historic wineries such as Château Brane-Cantenac, Château Rauzan-Ségla, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Château Haut-Bailly and more. The aim of the event is to give guests an opportunity to meet face-to-face with winery representatives and owners from these 24 wineries during their time in Macau and learn about the various styles and flavor profiles of such exquisite fine wines in person.

The two-day event will feature a series of exciting activities, including a Wine Masterclass, a four-hand wine dinner collaboration by two award-winning chefs at Wynn, an after-party, and a Lafite Lunch prepared by Executive Chef Henry Zhang for wine aficionados to savor premium Bordeaux and Chinese wines.

Wine Masterclass – Domaine de Long Dai
Renowned all over China as "The Chinese Lafite", Domaine de Long Dai is Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)'s estate in China. Nestled within the Qiu Shan Valley of Shandong, this winery features advanced winemaking technology to ensure that all wine produced, perfectly matches the natural terroir of the region. Charles Treutenaere, General Manager, and Liang Chen, Cellar Master of Domaine de Long Dai, will host a Wine Masterclass, where they will present five wines, while also sharing their in-depth knowledge of the production process, styles, and varieties of Domaine de Long Dai wines.

Bordeaux Wine Gala Dinner

Executive Chef Chan Tak Kwong of the two MICHELIN-starred Wing Lei Cantonese restaurant at Wynn Macau and Executive Chef Helder Sequeira Amaral of the Forbes Five-Star SW Steakhouse at Wynn Palace are teaming up to create a special four-hand collaborative wine dinner on November 25.  The chefs will prepare Chinese and Western dishes to pair with a variety of rare, premium fine wines, including Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2021 from Château Smith Haut Lafitte, Château Duhart-Milon 2007, Hu Yue 2019 from Domaine de Long Dai, and Château Suduiraut 2010. At the dinner, guests may taste the wines, speak with the winery representatives and owners, and explore the wine tasting booths featuring 16 renowned French Bordeaux estates. This very special Bordeaux wine dinner is an absolute must for lovers of food and wine.

After-party
The Lakeside Trattoria is throwing a "Savour with Wynn" after-party to keep the party going well into the night! Winery representatives and owners, sommeliers, food and beverage industry professionals and wine enthusiasts will have a chance to interact with one another in a more relaxed setting at the Italian trattoria.

Lafite Lunch
Château Lafite Rothschild, one of the five Bordeaux first growth wineries, will pair five wines with exceptional Imperial dishes prepared by Golden Flower Executive Chef Henry Zhang, a rising star in the culinary world. Superb Lafite Rothschild wines, including vintages from 1998 and 2007 – selected for their rich history and high quality – will make the perfect pairing with Chef Zhang's palatial Imperial dishes for the luncheon of a lifetime.

Bordeaux Wine Tasting
Wine from the Bordeaux region of France has always been a favorite of wine enthusiasts. This wine tasting event in Macau now brings together 20 Bordeaux wineries and 33 featured, high-quality wines. Many of the region's most famous wineries will participate in the event at Wynn Macau, including Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Château Prieuré-Lichine、Château Beau-Séjour Bécot and Château Clinet, where guests can taste the carefully selected wines and meet winery representatives, winery owners and wine enthusiasts to really appreciate the beauty of French Bordeaux wines.
